It is always worth checking the Rootsweb archives first. This doesn't explain why these messages haven't been getting through to you but there may be a blockage somewhere in the internet, depending where you are in relation to the Rootsweb servers**. Usually when this happens it eventually gets sorted and the messages all suddenly appear. This is one reason why one sometimes gets messages out of order - they have been corrupted somewhere and the retransmission can take some while to resolve.
