Hi, Marina, The 1930 US Census was recently released and not all states are completely indexed yet. So my views pretty much stop at 1920 for that. Since she arrived in 1922 the census won't be a big help. Much of the info from that time period is still protected by privacy laws so it is not readily available. I did not find her listed on any of the cemetery records on line...but unfortunately most cemetary records are not on line. The 1910 census will indicate the year a person arrived for the first time in the US. So that should help you find when Margaret arrived in the US. You seem to have access to the US census so I won't go there for info, it would be redundant. There is a site called www.switchboard.com If someone is listed in a US phone directory they will be listed there for an address and phone number usually. You may try looking for living descendants with the same name in the same towns. Then I would send them a letter (sometimes with all the scams out there a phone call can scare them) and see if you did indeed find a family member. If they want to respond they will. Good luck! If I stumble upon anything I will let you know. I greatly appreciate your help. In my hurry to get the email away yesterday I see I made at least one error. Sorry about that. This is what I have on the family to date. Elizabeth Agnes Bremner B 11 Dec 1892 Turriff - found on NY Passenger list arriving NY 25 June 1922 from Glasgow A sewing maid travelling to her sister Mrs Annie Douglas, 4110 Keokuk St. Cherry Chase, Washington D.C. I found her again on UK Incoming Passenger list arriving Glasgow 3 August 1925 from NY travelling to her parents in Glasgow. Her occupation then was Clerk. She travelled back to NY arriving there 21 Sept 1925 destination again Washington DC brother in law Alexander Douglas, 4110 Military Road. Washington D.C. Her occupation again given as a Clerk. That is all the information I have on her. Her sister Patricia b 15 Jan 1889 Turriff arrived on April 8 1913 and she married Stafford J. Coulter and they lived in Sewickley Borough, Allegheny County PA. I have now found them on the 1920 and 1930 census and also on various passenger lists back and forth from NY to Glasgow. Her sister Margaret b Feb 27 1879 and married to Robert Adair Rae - they lived in Ambridge Borough, Beaver County PA. I have yet to discover when Margaret arrived in the States. I have found then on the 1910/1920/1930 census and also on passenger lists between NY and Glasgow. Their brother William b 24 Oct 1886 arrived NY from Glasgow 15 April 1907 and I found him with the Rae family in Ambridge PA on the 1910 census and later on the 1920 & 30 censuses with his wife Stella or Estella still in Ambridge, PA plus WW1/WW1 Draft Registration Cards. If anyone is researching this family, I would be delighted to hear from them.
