Hi All, For those who don't know, it is now possible to check out our ancestors homes on Google Maps from the street - as long as they haven't been destroyed for new housing etc. Sadly that is the case with both properties my father lived in as a boy : ( BUT was really lucky to find the tenements at 44 Esslemont where Mum lived until she was married - fantastic. I've noticed that very few houses have numbers or if they have they aren't visible to me. Luckily some do and you can work your way to the right one. You also may be unlucky as I was to find a honking great bus right outside the house you are after : ) If you 'walk' along a bit you can still get a side view. Regards, Karen
