    3. Dear Schani: I have a 3rd great grandmother by the name of Agnes Cobban who married Alexander Donald. Her Christening record spells her name Agnass Cobbon. Agnes and her ancestors came from Keig Parish in Aberdeenshire. The first Churchbook for Keig Parish was destroyed by mice and early records were therfore lost. I exchanged messages witrh Ivy Behrns in April/May 1999. The email address I had at the time is no doubt the obsolete one that you have. In a message dated April22, 1999 she gave me her snail mail address in Oregon and I will send it privately if you wish to try it but it could also be obsolete. I have a copy of her original Querie including the information that a Robert Cobban married a Mary Anderson July 28 1821 and that they emigrated to Inverness, Megantic, Quebec, Canada. Robert and Mary are not in my records amongst the numerous Cobbans by whatever spelling. This message was posted Sunday May 10th, 1998 in response to a message from a Judy Hammerstrom posted on May 9th, 1998. I do not have a record of having corresponded with Judy Hammerstrom. Ivy Behrns and I were unable to establish common ancestors or even cousins in common. I have Agnes' ancestry back to her Great Grandparents, John Cobban and Janet Henderson. I could send you a report in Record Format of the descendants of John Cobban and Janet Henderson if you wish.
