Jim There is a cemetery in Fetteresso in the old parish Churchyard of which 500 of the graves have headstones that were published in the Booklet "Kincardineshire The Mearns" Monumental Inscriptions pre 1855 edited by Alison Mitchell. The churchyard was used as a buriel grounds up to the 1890's. The name Lumsden is mentioned on three graves MI but none refer to your request. However the following extract from the book may be of interest to you as it covers the timeframe mentioned. "The new parish church, a handsome white mock - Gothis building, was erected in 1812 off Bath Road Stonehaven. Accorto Jarvise there were two mable tablets in the lobby, as follows :- Mural. Sacred to the memory of John LUMSDEN esq of Blaironmouth whose remains are int in the burying ground of his relatives, churchyard of Fetteresso. He died 1799 aged 84. (Ed. Blairmonmouth, now Blairmormond or Knowsie, is in Buchan, Aberdeenshire)" The book states the Lair books may be examined by application to the Director of Environmental Health, Kincardine & Deerside District Council,Stonehaven.
