to all listers on the 1851 census (transcribed by Ancestry > not the original image) i have an ancestor, John GARDENn whose place of birth has been transcribed as "Chierry, Aberdeen" [sic] On a map on "MultiMap" there is a Cherry Road just south of Woodside and there is a Cherry Grove Road, Blackburn, Aberdeen. doesn't make sense to me that they would name the street he was born on!
