New to the list and looking for some leads to my James Couper and Janet Cruickshanks married ca 1759 and parents of my George born Aberdeen 1762 and married to Janet Shankland 1794 Troqueer. George was a master gardener and lived to the ripe old age of 96 when he dies in Castle Douglas Kirkcudbright. He had five children James Elspeth George Adam Robert and John. I am a driect descendant of James also a gardener who worked for the Earl of Selkirk. Ruth NSW Australia
