Yes I have been in touch with Archie in regard to this issue and DNA and as yet I have not received any information from him on Williams death. Yes William was born around 1780 and married and had a son William in Gamrie My main objective is to find his parents and then his siblings. DNA motive. Thank you for your response. William and Ann both seem to have been from Banffshire originally ( or at least they were both living there when they married in 1816). William isn't in any of my records for the northern Lumsdens but there are lots of Lumsdens from Banff . Hopefully Archie Lumsden, the historian, can help you find them. Best of luck!
